WHAT WE DO:

New this year, we are working on having TWO TEAMS.

It is in the works for the mixed co-ed team to do 4 races, 20 boat practices and 4 pool practices. Details to come.

It is in the works for the women's team to do 1 race, 10 boat practices and 4 pool practices. Details to come.

It's fun to compete against other teams from Ontario in hopes of winning medals, having fun and fulfilling some of our goals.

Guelph Lake is a pretty setting. Lots of room for the team tent.

IThey have a shuttle bus to get people to the race site from the parking lot but perhaps bring a little wagon to help  move  stuff.

Things to know for a race event

We need you to be there well rested, on time and ready to go.

Allow time to park the car and find the tent.

Help set up the Titans Tent.

Bring your team Titan shirt and black pants/shorts.

Have waiver and roster signed prior to event.

Car pool when possible. We try to set this up at practice.

Potluck and bring your own food, drinks and snacks.

Wear appropriate clothing for the weather.
Lifejacket and paddles will be provided but best if you have your own.
Seat pad, sunglasses with band, lotion, hat and chair are optional but good to bring.

Have a dry set of clothes and towel in the car.

About the races

Each event is slightly different however we usually do a

200 / 250 m,

500 m x 3,

and sometimes a 2000m race.

We need to be in the marshalling area 1/2 hour before each race.

Loading the boat is back to front or front to back, be quick and safe.

We need to get into our assigned lane on time and in a relaxed manner.

No talking in the boat. We hope to do a warm up start on the way to the start line.

Need everyone focused to move the boat into the ideal position in the lane.

A starter person will direct the start.
